Nutcracker Battle of the Generations 2018

The Nutcracker tournament is held from 17-22 December in the Botvinnik Central Chess Club in Moscow. Main event features Gelfand, Leko, Short and Najer take on Paravyan, Sarana, Esipenko and Lomasov. It consist 2 teams Kings vs. Princes and Boys vs. Girls facing each other.

Each player first plays a classical game against each member of the opposing team. They then play two rapid games against each opposing player. The classical games are worth double – 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw.
