Alexei Shirov wins the 2021 Salamanca Magistral

– On Saturday the last two rounds of the Magistral de Salamanca were played. Alexei Shirov was crowned champion with 5/7 points. In the fifth round he defeated Sabrina Vega with the black pieces and in the seventh round he defeated Elisabeth Pähtz, respectively. David Antón and Eduardo Iturrizaga occupied places two and three with 4.5 / 7 points.
