Egyben a pénzdíjat is osztották, mindkét sakkozó 37.500 angol fontot nyert. A női első díjat, 7 ezer fontot felesége, az orosz Alina Kaslinszkaja vehette át. Egyben eredményével férfi nemzetközi nagymesteri normát teljesített, megelőzte honfitársnőjét, az exvilágbajnoknő Alekszandra Kosztenjukot.A 13 esztendős Demeter Dorina eddigi pályafutása első szupercsversenyét játszotta, ami hazai viszonylatban példátlan!

John Saunders reports: the 2018 Chess.com Isle of Man International was won by Radoslaw Wojtaszek of Poland after a play-off match with Arkadij Naiditsch of Azerbaijan. The two players led going into the last round and drew their ninth round game to finish on 7/9 while none of the four players on 6/8 managed to win in order to tie with them. They each take home a cheque for £37,500 with Wojtaszek also receiving a further £500 for winning the blitz play-off. The initial two-game blitz was tied on 1-1 but Wojtaszek chose White in the Armageddon game and duly won. Seven players finished on 6½: Vladimir Kramnik, Alexander Grischuk (both Russia), Hikaru Nakamura, Jeffery Xiong (both USA), Wang Hao (China), Gawain Jones (England) and Baskaran Adhiban (India).

While Radek Wojtaszek is sharing the £50,000 1st prize his wife Alina Kashlinskaya has crushed another grandmaster to guarantee herself the £7,000 women's 1st prize... plus she got a GM norm on her 25th birthday!

Round 9 #iomchess WFM Dorina Demeter (Hungary) can gain a WIM norm is she draws with Dietmar Kolbus today

A mérleg FIDE rtg +/-+64,8 lett.

Team work! Peter Leko congratulates his student (who is almost as tall as the Hungarian despite being just 13!) Peter Lékó gratulál a tanítványának Vincent Keymernak a versenyen.

Gratulálunk Dorinának, ahogyan minden kis magyarnak is szoktunk.Mert mindet imádjuk. Ott vagyunk, ha nyertek, ha nem.De veletek. Köszönöm a figyelmetekeket.
Miközben egyébként a mai sakk versenyek a gépi sakk miatt is egyre kiszámíthatatlanok.Ennél több kell, kéne.Állami támogatás. De Szövetségi szinten is több munka, ahogyan sakkozói szinten is. hunonchess
